STRIAGHT PIPE???????
No, you will not set a MIL by straight piping it. The shop truck is Cal emissions and has been turbo backed for a long, long time and has never set a MIL for emissions. You might be a little annoyed by the drone though...And by the way, All Dmax's sold in Cali. had a cat on them since 02'. They were also present on So. Nevada trucks
, some Texas trucks, some Arizona trucks and some states back east that go by Cal. emissions standards.

Yes, it will increase your mileage a small fraction, lower EGT's and you will notice a small increase in throttle response. I would say it is a win/win situation. But it does get a little droney. You might be surprised how cheap a 4" turbo back exhaust with a free flow muffler is and will do an even better job at all the above with alot less drone.
What I mean is, the resonance(sp) at certain RPM's is enough to drive some people crazy. It can get very noisy inside the cab when you are towing or just cruising at highway speeds.
im planning on straight piping mine also, it isn't loud enough yet, the drone doesnt bother me, it really doesnt get real loud in the cab until im cruising at 75+mph, but i have the windows rolled down anyways
