My truck has the Dodge busted dash syndrome. So, I ordered a dash cover from Coverlay. I knew when I ordered it the color probably wouldn’t match so I went to Geno’s Garage and ordered a couple of cans of Mopar trim paint. According to the stickers in on my truck the interior trim code for my truck is R1C3, Misty Gray. So I ordered that color. The dash cover arrived today and I tested the fit and did a little trimming. The cover is a lot lighter color gray than the original dash so I sprayed part of it with the plastic trim paint I got from Geno’s. The paint isn’t even close to the color of the original dash. So I started looking around to see where I went wrong. Surprisingly the dash isn’t the same color as the door panels, the seat trim or the console. All of these parts are close to the color of the paint I got from Geno’s. But the dash is darker than the rest of the of these parts.

Is it possible that my dash is a different color than the rest of my plastic trim from the factory? If so, how do I find out what color the dash is so I can paint the cover to match?
