Most definitely NOT! It will run like crap, probably stall, and you'll get fuel leaks.

Another thing, assuming that this is a VP44 engine, if it does run with the line pinched off, there will be no cooling for your injection pump and it will fail.

A boost fooler might help some. $40 to $60, available from most suppliers. Grid heater deletes claim to add 2 pounds boost by eleminating the restriction. Should be able to pick one up under $100.

If this truck is still stock then the best things you can do is to replace the factory exhaust and air intake. They are both severely limiting and choke the system up.

Before you add anything for fueling HP you need to upgrade the fueling system. If your running added HP on a stock fueling system you may as well start saving up for a new VP44. The stock fueling system is only almost adequate for stock HP levels. This may have been what your buddy was talking about, not blocking the system up but increasing the fuel pressure.

the truck has a high flow air, 4in down pipe with a 5in pipe all the way back, quad boost fooler, smarty programmer, and that is it for upgrades other then the lift and 35" bfg.. that is it, i was going to upgrade the lift pump but i am stuck on which one to choose- air dog or fass??? dont want the pump to be too loud but i want to roll some more coal. i am also stuck on converting my auto to manuel cause my transmission rightnow is slipping...

Be sure to fill out your signature so we can see the stuff you've done so far.

As for lift pump, Airdog and Fass brands will both do what you need but I'm partial to the MITUSA belt driven pump myself. No electric motor to go bad.

A set of RV275 injectors are also a nice kick in the pants and the cheapest option for quality injectors you will find. They are Bosch factory injectors that are used in the Cummins equipped RV motor homes.
