Default Help with blueish whiteish smoke out the 5 inch tailpipe.

Hello all. I just installed a MBRP 5" exhaust on my 99 f350 with a wicked wheel and everything went well, but as my truck warms up and I step on the gas I get smoke coming out the back that I didn't get before with the stock muffler. I did notice that when I took off the tubes to the intercooler I did see some oil in there. I cleaned it and put it back on. After running the truck for a few min. down the road and parked it. I came back later to find alittle oil on the end of my new tailpipe, is this normal????? Any Ideas on this.

Thanks for any input you may have.

Its normal for the most part. Drive it a bit and watch. When they bend the systems they coat the pipes in oil (I bet you noticed this when installing it) and it takes a bit to burn that off.

the oil in your intercooler pipes is from the crank case vent. many people take the vent hose and re route it to come out near the exhaust in the rear to keep oil from being inducted in to the intake called "ccv mod"

I would not worry about it just yet. If it was not doing it before the exhaust and is now, I would think it is just oil. If its still doing it in a day or so, then lets start digging deeper!

Ok sounds good. Thanks for the great help. How can I stop the oil from getting in the intercooler pipes? I hate cleaning it.

Ok it's been a week now. I have gone over 100 miles now and I still get smoke coming out. It only happens when I'm in traffice kinda stop and go. I look at the tip and I still see oil. Funny thing thou it don't smell like oil, in fact it don't smell like anything. Is it still the oil from the pipe? How long should I wait until its gone. Oh yeah by the way 5 inch is the only way to go. It sounds great and seems to make my truck much more faster
