on the new cummins engines they are blue tec i know it is a cleaner enviormentally friendly set up, but is it the type of engine or is it emitions controls or exhaust system what is it? and do all 6.7 cummins come with blue tec

 

No it isn't. It consumes significantly more fuel, dumps excessive heat into the engine and adds $5000 to the build cost. Simply to reduce visible smoke.

Its a filter added to the exhaust that removes soot.
