Thats an interesting, but totally wrong story:

After researching a bit in german fuel history during the second world war the germans did use only two main procedures to synthesize fuel:
- the coal-to-gas fuel procedure
- the now reivented and used method by the germans Fischer and Tropsch procedure to synthesize premium gas by using gases, the so called GTL procedure(Gas to Liquid)

My grandfather explained me due to the lack to gas being available to public they used wood gas as a fuel.
Only officials and people transporting goods relevant for war use were allowed to get gas, if any vehicle was left and not aquired by the military.
The germans also experimented with dilluting the diesel with water. This was not further developed due to the problems occured during these times.

It still scares me to see how close VP-pumps and P-pump do look to modern pump styles and housings being used during these times to inject fuel into fighter planes. Development has made nearly no progress within 50 years.

The use of WVO was impossible during these times. Food was needed to take care of the people. There weren't enough rescources to produce bio fuel.
So I guess this marketing ad is just a trick to gain interest of people.

So, what is your point?

DSE?

Is it good? Or bad?

I have tried it on SVO. If it's purpose is to thin vegetable oil than i can say with no doubt it does not work. It's funny how marketing can almost make me think that a product can do what they say. There is only 3 ways to thin veg oil: heat it, mix it, or bio diesel (transfercation).

It's complete crap. GRI, weren't you making bio-diesel before?

I have a friend who ran this DSE stuff, and still runs a modified blend of it... I've tried telling him he's driving a ticking time bomb, but we'll see.

There is NO way I'd run this stuff.

The DSE is just a blending formula for WVO, the scam is that pink crap they try to keep selling you. Go to some good WVO/SVO forums and read about some of this WVO blending and see what ya thing...

This has some decent info on filtering and also some other links to other places ...

This is alternative diesel fuel which is better than traditional biodiesel because it is cheap and clean burning. This is true alternative fuel that runs better than any other petroleum diesel.
