Well through alot of b.s. of this and that, ive keep my Dmax. But im pretty happy with that. So now im in the market to buy a new clutch. Im running a PPE standard, PPE boost increase valve, S&B cold air intake, and a couple other small goodies. Not sure the power im pushing since my clutch will not hold for a dyno. Im looking at the Southbend single disc, 500rwhp/1000lb torque or should i up to the 650rwhp/1200lb double disc. Its my daily driver, occasionally pull up to 20k lb, and some runs at the local track. What is ur guys opinion.

I would say get the dual disk. For a single to be able to hold power, it will be very aggresive, and therefore not the most plesant for daily driving, and especially towing, where it will be jumpy when you are trying to start out, and can be a real pain when trying to back a trailer! Singles are alot tamer, and can hold more than the single. I tried to get away with a big aggresive single when my stock clutch went bad, but it only lasted about a year I have had my dual disk in for just over a year now, and it has been great. Hope this helps

 

i agree...i've been running a single in mine, and i love it...but i've been told it absolutely would not hold up at the track...it is fairly aggressive, but most of my friends are running dual disks and theirs are more aggresive than mine...it all just depends on what you're wanting to do with it..the single will hold the horsepower, but not hooked to a sled..again just what i've heard, mine's never been hooked
