Default Used '94-'97 Powerstrokes, good deal?

I'm selling my duramax very soon. Looking at getting something older and (hopefully) cheaper to repair and maintain. D-max injector jobs suck.

Would any of these be a good deal? What kind of stuff do I need to look for? CPS, injectors? anything else?

Just thought I'd give this a shot, if it ends up not being any better off I'll probably go back to an older gasser
Thanks fellas,

If you want a Ford, I'd stick with the F350, The solid front axle is much better than the ttb in the f250's. I have a 93 F350 good truck other than it's a gasser.

They look like good buys to me. Whats wrong with the NBS trucks though? Or do you just have to have an OBS?

My favorite truck is my 95 F350. I don't know what the difference is between US and Canadian $$ but that red and white 350 doesn't look bad depending on the miles.

If you find one that runs smooth, you're off to a good start. There's lots of little things that can go wrong as with any other truck, and they're no more fun to work on then anything else. The OBS are not powerhouses but can get the job done. You can make them run pretty good but it takes a lot of money (I'm looking at roughly $4000 to get mine into a solid 300-350 horse to the ground).

obs's are just plain sexy

I trust the D50's on an F250 over an dodge non lockout or chevy cv shaft BS, seen plunty sled pull on them and they hardly ever break half shafts. Other then that 200+ thousand aint too bad as long as they were treated decent, 7.3s take a Lot of $hit so be ware that the common problems are cps (get new one from ford or International) injector wiring harness inside valve likes to get hot and melt itself and the valve cover gasket connector/ pigtails. the exhaust backpresser valve needs to be unplugged (right on the turbo compressor side) other then that HAVE FUN! these trucks are great trucks!

Thanks for the responses guys!

Yeah I just really like the OBS trucks and they sell cheaper than the newer ones. I really got screwed over financially so I'm looking to get something cheaper than my duramax.

I'm not looking to make big power at all this time, I'll take it as it comes but I definitely don't plan on getting too carried away at first. Just looking for a good reliable rig.

The red one definitely caught my eye, mileage is unlisted and it's far away though but pretty much a perfect match for what I am looking for. Looks clean no doubt.

Just out of curiousity, what was wrong with the DMax? Not sure I would want to go down in years but I'm sure you have your reasons to do that.
Stay safe out there.
