Is there anyway you can use a gas engine tach and run it on a 6.9 diesel. My brother has the autometer diesel on his 12v and ran it to the alternator. can i use my gas engine tach and possibly run the wire the alternator or the ip

 

no, no real way to get a signal from either of them in an idi. u can eithe rget the factory tach or aftermartket which gets signal off the crank from a puckup installed on the balancer.
