I jus bought an 02 duramax, it's a great looking truck but it knocks really loud when ever I get on it... Is there any thing wrong with it if so what should I look for? Thanks fo the help.

Fuel filter good? Injectors good? I'd check the balance rates of the injectors. If it's knocking you might have an issue there.

Can you check for any trouble codes? No check engine light?

Well third gear locking sounds to me like it's going into limp mode; but I'm not sure why it would do that without throwing a code or turning the check engine light on.
I'm not sure what else to recommend...hopefully one of the other guys will throw down some more ideas.

How about fuel pressure/fuel pump? If the injectors are getting starved of fuel that could also cause a limp.

Some tuners have a re-learn or fast learn function for the transmission but if it's a fuel related issue that won't help.

No problem man I hope you get it worked out!

I'm going to buy a fuel filter right now and put in. If it dosent help I'll take it in the morning and have a buddie plug his computer in to it... Like I said the check engin lights not on so idk....

Also does the banks 6 gun have tat relearn for my gears sticking? Or what about a shift kit or shift enhancer

I don't think the Banks 6 gun has a fast-learn or re-learn feature. I know that PPE's tuner has one but not many of them do as far as I know.

Try the new fuel filter first and see if that helps.

The knock I had ended up being an injector. Hopefully for you guys it's as cheap and easy as a filter replacement. Injector failure sucks!
