how hard is it to debadge the truck without messing up the paint?? or is it even possible? just curious

 

pull off the decal then use heat gun to lightly break down the glue

or i have herd oven cleaner works good too never tried it tho

I use a stiff putty knife, with a clean rag doubled over the putty knife, pulled kind of tight. Then just push it under the badge, starting in the corner, make sure your pushing flat on the knife, and switch the rag around to another clean spot,because the edges of the putty knife will show through after a couple pushes, and dig in your paint. Keep jammin it under the badge, and bam, off comes the badge. I use paint thinner (100% Mineral Spirits) to clean the adhesive off, and it works, not dulling, maring, or nuthing to your paint. I've had sweet luck with it. Some people may differ, but it's always worked fer me.

 

Monofilement fishing line works well. Slip it under the badge and using a sort of sawing motion, work to the end.

3M makes a polymer wheel that attaches to a drill motor for removing the remaing glue. It is also great for taking off decals and pinstripng. Goes for about $20, does a great job and lasts a long time.

Just my opinion, yours may vary.

the wheel that motorboat is talking about works slick. it blew my mind when i used it. i have no idea how it doesnt scratch the paint . i used it to take all the glue left behind from when i removed a rocker pannel.
