well up doin it again.....
for some reason i cant leave things alone. after converting my f250 from 2wd to 4x4, auto to manual, and NA to turbo, now the next stage has started. i wheeled it once with the current set up and only had one issue. it was to long. only means one thing. SHORTEN IT!
so at this point i have taken the flatbed off(which is for sale), removed fuel tank from sadle mount, knocked out all the rivots and slid axle forward on framerails. starting wheelbase was 133. after moving it the WB is now 115. for driveshaft i am using a STOCK ford bronco front shaft. little smaller in diameter so we will see how long it lasts. there are plenty of broncos in junkyards around here so plenty of shafts.
also while doing all this i am relocating shocks to top side of axle and removing my 4 inch liftblocks and installing a sky manufacturing rear shackle flip kit. flip kit adds 4-5 inches of lift, so it should still be level.
pics will follow soon.

thanks. got the front spring hangers bolted on and my leaf springs switched around. i mixed in some half ton springs into my spring pack and removed the 3/4 ton leaves. hope to soften it up some by doing that.
still trying to decide on what i want for the bed. not gona be a flatbed. thing custom homemade stepside style bed. made out of 2x2 square tubbing and sheetmetal for main box and removable fenders for over the tires during road use.
well, finally got the shackle flip kit for the rear, got it mounted up and cut 22 inches of frame rail off the back of it. the total bed length will be 72 inches, with a 2.5-3 inch gab between bed and cab. gona hammer out on it hard tommarow(half day work) and see if i can get the truck ready to be taken to the shop to have bed made.
i am going with a custom stepside style bed. inside bed width is going to be smaller than i wanted at 36 inches. i was hoping for a little wider so the spare tire would lay down. but no luck.
and yes i know i am only running 36's. the spare will fit for now......
as soon as these wear out, 38s or 39s will be installed. now remember. no lift on the truck.
