Default Fuel return line

Okay guys Im finally getting around to fixing the fuel leak on my 92. Its coming from the plastic fuel return line covered with a rubber hose that leaves the back of the engine and meets down on the frame rail below the seat with the metal return line running the rest of the way back.

Where can i get a replacement? My Ford dealership looks at me stupid anytime i go to order parts. The same dealership that said my truck doesnt exist and a 7.3 and zf5 were never availible in 88 so i have no confidence in their parts man. Would i just be able to run a rubber hose all the way down since i assume it was to allow for engine movement in the first place.

I see no reason a rubber hose wouldn't work. Just make sure it cant rub on anything, maybe even put a plastic sheath on it to help protect it.

Just to make sure im clear its not the little short hoses that go betweent he injector fittings that i need. Its the one that comes off the back where both sides of the returns meet and head down to the frame
