On my automatic 98 dodge the shifter broke, and the wires on to the overdrive ripped too
and i was wondering how you get it off so i can put the new one on? I found a used one on ebay for a 98 24valve with overdrive and i just wanted to also know if that would work to. Thanks

should just be able to take a punch n knock out the pin on the steering column n put the new one on.

 

x2 punch the pin out with a punch and hammer its groved so it might take a few good hits

 

what about the wires for OD. they run thru the center of the shifter
