I'm debating putting 17" or 20" wheels on my truck... I have an 8" lift... I'm thinking 20's with some 35-13.50 tires... But I can get the 17" rims with 35-12.50's tomorrow if need be for a good price... Any advise, recommendations? Should i hold out until i can get the 20's?

 

Although 20's do look good, the tires are very expensive. If you got the money, do it. Its always pretty funny to see nice trucks rolling around on 20's and bald *** tires because they cant afford it. If it were me id say stick with the 17's. Just my .02 though.

 

20'S All the way if you can afford it... and just start saving for the next set of tires that you will need in 40-60K miles depending on what tire you go with. the 17's with that high of a lift will look like your rolling on doughnuts... just my .02

 

everyone and their brother haves 20's so stick with the 17's

 

If you looking for some 17's i have some Mickey Thompson classic II's that were professionally polished and coated (read no more polishing, windex and your done) they have some 285/70 BFG's with about 25% tread life on the front's and 40% on the rears for sale if your interested

 

I say stick with 17's. Personally I think 20's look odd until you get into 38-40's.

 

20's give you alot less tire roll

17s............i cannot stand the big wheel thing...big wheels =

 

if you are planning on going offroad with it go with the 17's they will give better traction because the side walls will flex more. Also the 17's will give a smoother ride on the road for the same reason. I originally had 20's on my truck with 35's and thewy were nice to look at but didn't care for the way they worked out with ride and off road traction.
