Default Tranny Leak

I noticed a small area of liquid under my truck one day - origionally thought it was A/C moisture... Well, i crawled under the truck and noticed it was from my transmission... Not gushing, just kinda dripping... I havn't really dug into it with flashlights to see exactly where it's leaking... I was hoping to get some "key" items to be looking at... Does any one have any thoughts or things to start looking at first???

I added Lucas oil not long ago to try and prevent some minor slipping (it DID fixed the slipping)... Could this have anything to do with the leak? and I will check those things, thanks AZredneck

Ok, i crawled under and here's what i've noticed... The leaks (yes, plural) seem to be all around the top side of the transmission, around gaskets maybe (?), leaked over onto the boot on a lever on the driver side... I really don't know what i'm looking at, just know that oil/fluid on the outside of the tranny is not good... I can tell u it's not a bad leak, just kinda like a gasket or seal might be bad or going bad... Any suggestions???

This leak is probably your transfer case almost for sure! There is a pump in your transfer case that for better words (jiggles) against the case and wears through the case. How many miles are on your truck? Sonnix (might not have spelled that right) has a kit to fix this happened to my truck

i read somewhere on this site once, that someones fuel line was leaking and dripping down onto some parts... not real sure the details - could this be another option, cause driving in reverse or stopping quick with the windows down, i smell diesel sometimes... I tried to smell the oil/liquid that was leaking and never concluded what it might be...

I guess i'm gonna have to take like a week off of work and just spend the whole time working on my truck... sucks that i only have the one ride...
