Default How to find the PCM code on a 7.3

Hey yall i need to get to my PCM code on my 7.3 so i can give it to a guy so he can burn me a chip...but the problem is I have no idea how to get to the PCM code. this is my first diesel so im not so great with knowin where stuff is can yall please help pictures on how to get there would be great. thanx!

driver side fire wall below the master cylinder, theres a connector bout 5 inches long 1 inch wide with a sticker on it the sticker will be on the side of the fire wall, they say itll be difficult to see they say use a flash light and a mirror, itl be 3 letters and 1 number, im goin thro the same stuff right now!!!!

its on the driver side under the dash, behind the E-brake, a 7 mm to get the gold bolts out which holds the black housing in place, then a 10mm to get it to unhook from under the hood, pull it off and it should be right there where it connects for example mine is VDH5

power hungry performance where im getting my chip thro says its by the master cylinder on a 1994.5-2003

yeah, bottom driver side of the firewall underneath the hood, below all the fuses and such

and it is a 10mm bolt under the hood, but in the cab its a 7mm

Your code is PMT1, 2 or 3... if your an auto...

i pulled the cover off on the outside of the fire wall and pulled my whole cpm box out it took like 5 min to pull out and put back in. mine is XLE4, its real simple to do!!!!!

Early 99... XLE... If you get a chance, get a PMT PCM... You will be very happy!

what would i do just have to pull one out of another truck? what would be the difference in them? power?
