A guy that works for me has a friend thats is selling a 12v from a 94 with 216000 on the clock is this too much or a deal? he said it runs fine but the truck is junk im intrested in it but not sure of the price

 

it depends on what he thinks junk is.

is it 4x4 or 2x4?
1 ton or 3/4 ton?
reg cab or ext cab?
auto or manual?

those answers will determine the main part of the price. the next would be what are you wanting the truck for? if you want it as a work truck, do looks really matter? if by junk he means that the suspension is worn out and the tranny slips and there isn't a straight body part on the truck and the windshield is cracked then i still would get it as long as the motor runs good. but that is just me.....

transmission? complete motor including intercooler and turbo etc? i wouldn't say that is a bad deal as 12v aren't the easiest motor to find. but if you can hear it run i'd say that would be an OK deal. you could always part it out and make your money back easy.

if thats just for the motor and no radiator intercooler etc i would pass all day long. right road from me is a 170,000 miles motor for sale from the wrecking yard with a warranty for 1700 complete with everything. i think 1900 for just an engine isnt that great of a deal.

it mostly comes down to that being what its worth. you wouldnt really be getting any sort of deal on it, youd just be paying market value for it
