are they any codes. mine does that but dont throw a code. i use the smarty and go thru the motions of clearing a code even though they are none there and it always goes away.

You can try the oil change reset... Which is turn your key to the on position,Not starting the truck just to the run position. Push the accelerator to the floor three times. Then turn your key off. Will reset it if yours is just doing the change your oil reminder. Works on my 09 anyhow.

Rhino.

tried using the smarty. went through the steps of eliminating codes. didnt work. it says there are no codes. but tried it anyway. might have to call a shop to see if they can give me a idea what it might be. i also tried the oil change reset. that didnt work either. thought the smarty would clear the code. have to hook it up about every 2000 miles to clear "see dealer know" code.

If you want, I'll walk you through resetting your ECM. It's fairly simple.

Could be oil timer for service, air filter service or CCV filter. All will not be displayed on the Smarty..

i bet you just rolled over 67500 miles on your truck, it automatically comes on for the scheduled maintenance for cleaning the dpf, change the ccv filter, cleaning the EGR.
