Default Is a steering damper kit a good thing??

On my 01 2500HD (8" lift), I am about to be replacing ball joints, center link, idler & pitman arm(s), and control arm(s)... should i take the time and money to install a steering damper kit also? has anyone done this on a GM? is it worth doing? My purpose would be to maybe extend the life of my steering components...

Well, meanwhile, i've done some research... still no answer to my question, BUT if someone else was curious, i think i'll post the link below... It's the installation instructions for a dual steering stabilizer/damper kit with a 4-6" lift on a GM 2500HD... Maybe this will help someone
