Default Just moved....Emissions

Hey everyone....I just move from moscow idaho to orem utah and i was just wondering if anyone knew what i would have to do to my truck to get it to pass emissions testing? It has a banks turbo kit and banks exhaust but no muffler its just straight piped now but i do still have the banks muffler and the pump is turned up. Thanks everyone

oh that would be sweet if i didn't even have to turn my pump down ....where i lived before it didn't smoke that much but when i was towing my drift car and my bike here when i got into town it was pouring out lots of smoke and i would be happier if i didn't have to turn it down haha...thanks man

I have to do testing this year for the first time. As far as I can tell, most diesel testing is only checking how much/dark your smoke is. I have no muffler either, but we know how well the turbo works at keeping things quiet. It usually just depends on who's doing the test as to whether or not it's an issue.

I (used) to get by without a muffler on inspections (no testing in Sanpete) but they are cracking down on that visual stuff now. If it's not hard to stab the muffler in I would advise on doing so. It will make your inspection/testing go a little smoother IMO.
