Default Alternative Fuels

Does anyone burn straight vegetable oil or kerosene in their IDI's? Or any other fuels?

I collect so much motor oil from changing other peoples oil that I'm tempted to try it.

Mine actually ran quieter when on the oil, better lube in the injection parts maybe?

whats involved in running wmo ,any drawbacks ,such as the dirtyness of the oil ?

i run used veggie oil in mine and works great better mpg, quiter, and over all feels better. but gotta deal with smelling burning french frys all day haha

I think you have to be more careful running used ATF due to the different stuff that could contaminate it. You might just have to filter it better, I'm not sure.

What do you need to do to burn used frying oil? Filtering process?

The thing with WVO is it needs to be warmed so it will flow ,been trying to engineer a home grown heated oil system on the cheap ,cant do 1500 -2000 bucks ,the used M/O need heated ?
