Yup...great intake. Its shaped like a Y and draws air from the stock location in the fender as well as cool air from the cowl area (after you drill a 4.5" hole). This intake lowers EGT's by about 150 degrees. He used a bunch of different air filters - which one does it include? the latest and greatest filter was a washable UNI filter.

You can only get a used one. Hes been out of business for a number of years now.

Its not going to fit on your Powerstroke though.

Oh, and its much like this one: http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/m...r-intakes.aspx

Send him to me if you dont want to buy it.

I wonder what it would take to make them or if people would even want them any more. Cause this guy said he knew a guy that was thinking about making them. He said that this guy was makin them to fit the 1st gens to wonder how good that would help those trucks.

Well what the guy said was that scotty couldnt put a patent on it cause he didnt live in the US. But the filters have a patent on them is what he was saying or something like that but i bought it and it fitts in a 1st gen nice the y part goes right down into the hole below your lights and the other one goes right up in the fender well nice. It dropped my egt on the 1st gen alot. But i will see what the real deal is with it or if he is just talking to talk.

Thats not true...the business I work for isnt based in the US and doesnt do any work in the US yet we have a number of US Patents.

You will happy with the intake - especially if you cut the hose in the cowl area. Its only drawback is that it can be loud in the cab...but you just have to crank up the tunes a bit more. Its a shame he went out of businees and the reason was that his material suppliers more than doubled the cost of supplies overnight. He couldnt afford to stay in business.

Those things are awesome....I always keep my eyes open for one but it seems they are like hen's teeth. It sucks that a product that works as advertised as well as those and he had to go out of business....I know a couple of guys that had the same thing happen.

Dr. Evil.. Any chance it is NADP that you be working for? And do you guys have anything that could get me A 100 degree drop on my 09 Cummins. Assuming I have guessed your outfit right. I am only A hour out of Edmonton and I am having some EGT issues. Thanks.

Um, no I do not work for NADP - or any diesel shop.

But they are here in town.

I dont know much (ok nothing) about the new engine but could you not get a 100 degree reduction with methanol injection??

You could maybe cut a hole in the cowl like a Scotty intake and connect some 4" hose to your airbox/filter...that should give you some.

My research on Water/Meth says no. By the time it would ever kick in with this motor it would be too late. And I am rarely any deeper then 40% in the throttle so that kick in would be irrelevant. There is alot of power hiding in these 6.7's getting it without melting it down is the trial.. The advertised EGT drops are suspect. And to be perfectly honest I don't need any more power, I just need to drop some heat off. Am looking at A true ram air intake in A exhaust hood to help scrub some under hood heat.. Thanks any way.
