Glow Plugs. Always the damn glow plugs. Make sure you read the post on glow plug replacement. IMPORTANT!

Air intrusion into the fuel lines will also make it hard to start. When it sits, the fuel drains out and you have to crank the motor enough to refill the filter/IP. Check your return lines and make sure they dont look wet, also inspect the hard lines and around the IP for any dampness. Make sure your fuel filter is on tight as well and not leaking.

Ok, when I got the truck which was last friday, it had set for 2 years. So.... it has to be something to do with it setting.

Then a return line kit is probably in your future.

It's a bit intimidating for a first timer, but it's really no big deal. I probably spent about 1.5 hours the first time I did it, but the 2nd time it was about 1/2 hour like dieselcrawler said. Spring for viton o-rings if you can, they stand up to the heat better and are less likely to leak.

If ya plug the block heater in, then it starts really easy, it's the damn glow plugs.
