Any IDI turbo kit will work on any IDI motor. There were different variations of the kits throughout the years, but if you get a complete kit, it will bolt on.

you have to find one for a idi engine, anything that is over 94. 5 is a powerstroke and uses a different kind of setup. go to atsdiesel.com then click on the top of the page where it says ford and go to turbos and you will find one for a idi(Indirected diesel injection) in case your wondering what that means. And find the aurro 2000 the aurro 3000 is for the 94.5 and up powerstrokes.or go to bankspower.com and do the same thing and find the kit that says sidewinder kit but like i said before I heard a rumor banks dicontinued the sidewinder model. Best bet junkyard or you can find a turbo off a 92.5-94.5 factory turbo non powerstroke and do some retro fitting and that will work also.

That sounds the best way and anything over 14 psi you want to stud your head and get thicker gaskets. Do you do heavy pulling at all?

You should be fine just watch your gauges. See me and my dad pull 18,000 pounds in horses and trailers up 3 mile summits so we always watch are gauges.

I have an '88 F-250 with a 7.3 IDI and couldn't figure out WTF Banks turbo was on it until I called and talked to the Banks tech; he said the reason I couldn't figure out if it was a Stinger or Sidewinder was because it was a first generation turbo; they hadn't started naming them yet!
