1988 F-250 2WD would get stuck in a parking lot!
.....and it has! On snow and ice, of course, but, DAMN! I'm running tires with decent tread. WTF is up with this truck getting stuck all the time? Anything I can do about it?
if its a standered, don't use first if it is and auto, you could try and put it in 2nd with the shifter and see if you can get it to skip first. my chevy is an auto and sometimes i can get it to stay out of first by not slowing down to a stop. i don't know if that works for every situation. but so far so good for me
I've had good luck leaving the throttle alone till it's rolling, but you know...to each his own.
I'd put some weight in the back, that diesel is heavy, and unlike the newer trucks the rear of yours is pretty light.

That's pretty much what I do, but it don't always work. Was wondering more about mods than technique. Hopefully the new shocks will help if we get any more snow this year.

it works wonders. but like jazz said weight in the rear is key for 2wds in snow and ice. and try gettin going slow dont just slam the gas and cause you to burn out
