What makes an LB7 go BANG?
I was having fun leaving a stop sign when I heard a loud BANG! I saw a big puff of black smoke in the rear view. The engine had just revved up and the tranny down shifted. Afterwards, the engine seemed to run fine. I didn't hear any loping or sputtering. THere are no codes. Any ideas? Am I gonna have to rebuild my engine AGAIN?

Actually found the answer to my own question. The clamps on the charged air pipes had come loose. When it let go under acceleration, there was a loud POP. with the boost pressure gone, the fuel air mixture was rich for one cycle until the computer compensated, hence the black puff of smoke.
