Default 04-06 Injectors replacing 03's?

Do 04-06 injectors work in place of my 03 injectors? I've heard yes and no.

I believe th Job 1 engine injectors will. The Job 2 engines which were late 06 may not.

Default EGR Question

I'm new to this forum but I have some questions pertaining to my 2005 F350 superduty diesel. I have an egr problem. We bypassed the egr for the moment until I can figure out what to do. When I replace the egr and egr cooler, do I need to replace the oil cooler. I called injector warehouse who told me the egr cooler and oil cooler were the same thing??? Is it?? I could not figure out how to post a new thread on this website either. Sorry I butted in on another conversation.

When you replace the EGR and EGR cooler, it would be a good idea to do the oil cooler. Usually when the oil cooler plugs, the first thing to go is the egr cooler. So if you're having EGR cooler issues already, chances are the oil cooler is already junk. Replace it, cheap insurance and you're already in there.

EGR Cooler and Oil cooler are NOT the same thing. The Oil cooler is there to simply regulate the oil and coolant temps and keep them close together. The egr cooler is to actually cool exhaust temps coming back in to the intake.

Id suggest a full delete, IF you're not in cali.

Take your time and read through this: https://www.dieselbombers.com/ford-p...il-cooler.html

I posted a TON of info about how these systems work, why they fail, and how to fix them throughout. If you have any more questions after that, ask away!

Default Egr delete kit and info

Thanks for the information. So let me make sure I'm getting this correct. I should put a delete kit on it to bypass the egr and the egr cooler, right?? I have looked into those. One thing I noticed is that they throw a code "check engine light". Some one told me that i can get a wire or something that plugs into the computer that bypasses the computer where the check engine light does not come on is that true? Where can I get it if so?

If I decide to go that route, which is looking like a pretty good solution,is there any specific type of delete kit you recommend? I should also replace the oil cooler since I'm doing this, right??
