I read over this and think my truck could use it, especially since I can get the parts at a hardware store. does anyone have a write up on how to do it? id probably need pics as I dont even know where the govenor springs are. I dont have gauges yet, so 3k gsk, air in and out will have to do for now till I trust the truck. But as soon as I do... its on!

 

idk bout getting them at a hardware store. imo, id by a kit from one of the sponsers. i know tony at mighty diesel is where i got mine, pretty reasonable

 

An actual "kit" will come with instructions too...might help if you have no idea where to start.

 

Definately better off to go ahead and get the kit, comes with the extra spring to make it a 4k kit as well as directions. $90 is alot better then buyin a new pump

 

Do a search on gsk on here and see what your in for. Its on here, maybe someone else knows where it is. The instructions with it go a long way too. The kit is only $90 don't try to half-*** it, its not worth killing a IP. DB sponsors can hook you up with a kit.

 

I got mine from L&N Performance, along with 60lb valve springs for a very fair price compared to sets I saw on aftermarket parts sites. Diesel Bombers sponsors are the best!

I believe he is refering to the washer mod .That makes the stock springs fuel longer.M 12 washer no more than 2 mm thick.
