does anybody know any site that specialize in the idi performance parts

not one site specializes in idi preformance.

mel over at oilburners.com makes upgraded injectors and injection pumps

ats, hypermax and banks all made turbos for them

stans headers makes long tube headers for the one who want to stat naturally aspirated.

i was told the 7.3 idi fuel pump isnt as good as the 6.9 fuel pump is that true

I cant see why the larger displacement would have a lesser pump. They'll both swap in place of each other.

well i wasnt sure cause someone said that if u get a 7.3 u should put the 6.9 fuel pump on it and i belive ive read it somewhere

pumps turned up im not fully shore how far i put in a center force clutch i have an ats turbo kit on the way and when the trurbo kit gets here im guna have a 4inch back exghaust into a 5inch mbrp stack kit

From what I understand, everyone favored the 6.9 pumps because they were tuned for more fuel than the later 7.3's. I swapped in a set of 6.9 injectors and pump onto one of the 7.3 trucks we had and there was a big difference in smoke and power from the stock 7.3 setup...but not all that different from another 7.3 that I turned the pump up on.

From what I've found, when Navistar went to the 7.3 they increased displacement and DECREASED fuel to help with emissions. So, the pumps should basically be the same, with the 7.3 pump being detuned a little. At least that's what I was informed....I could be wrong though...
