we can buy studs threw are supplier for about 150, see we own a machine shop and were always doing some type of hot rod. And browns diesel shop is about 45 mins a way. They did a getrag tranny for a buddy and they it up they said they re built it and put new sincro's it but they only replaced one. I wouldn't trust browns diesel at all. Right now were re man a dura max head so if any y'all need welding cause your blocks are cracked or your heads are shop is the place to go. We are one of about 8 people in the world who can weld cast iron the right way. So give us a try and you won't be disapointted...

the best place i can find is thoroughbreddiesel.com they are a little over 600 for a set. i think the ones your looking at for are for the crankshaft main studs for 400 bucks that sounds pretty cheap for a set of headstuds.

well i guess it all depends on what you want to do becuase they make three stages of headstuds. the cheaper version is somewhere around 400 bucks and which are probably not much more than stock head bolts and then you can go with he mid range which vairy in price depending where you go 600-800$ or you can get some that are around 1500$ a set. im just trying to help you out and answer your question.

I dont think they offer these stages for the 6.0. I know I've seen different "stages" for the Dodge guys though... The ARP's are certainly above stock TTY bolts... It's a stud vs. a bolt, a stud will always have a higher clamping force.

For 6.0s your options are ARP's, browns is the cheapest and you will see that if you call around, like I said, $385 shipped from Cali to me in NY.

You can also get H-11's from Elite. They have a higher tensile strength, and a lower torque (easier install), but they're over $700.

I cant help installer error. I'll have to tell you about it when I see you again, and what the service manager told me... after thinking about it, I'm 90% sure the tech screwed up the install. I've never heard of a head gasket having a "chunk ripped out of it".
