99 powerstroke tranny or transfercase?????

Default 99 powerstroke tranny or transfercase?????

alright i shifted in to gear it jerked really hard and then my tranny wouldnt shift out of sencond gear so i was messing with my transfercase and i put it nuteral and i could still drive down the road, then all of the sudden i i couldnt move if i put my tranny in gear the engine idle does change and i can shift my transfercase from 2h-4h-n-4l with out any grindage at all with tranny in drive and my tranny does grind goin into park, would this be my tranny or transfer case???????????

my tranny went out a month ago. you pretty much described the same problem i had. when it went out it made no noise though and every gear was like being in neutral. nothing was grinding, when i change gears it would change the idle. sounds like your tranny imo
