Default Chip levels?

If i were to get a chip for my cummins, would it not be wise to run it on high. I know not to all the time. But would running it sometimes hurt? I think i am going fto get a smarty too.

I ran the superchips on high and then the smarty on high the whole time they were in my truck, my friend has had his smarty on 9 for over a year now on a stock 06 with no problems other than his tranny. actually all my friends around here run the highest levels on all there chips and programmers

When my truck was auto I ran my adrenaline on PL 8 all the time, allthough that could have contributed to the demize of 2nd. gear. Now w/ the 6 speed I just keep it on 3 and on the highway it gets turned off.
