they compared there all new state of the art truck against an 05-07 d-max and an 06 dodge WTF? And a PTO on an automatic? Because that works oh so well on the macks w/ the allison.

My buddies 2011 F-350 will be here in march. They won't even tell him what the power rating is yet.

They did it because THEY had to BUY the test trucks. I seriously doubt that Chevy or Dodge would offer a truck to test, so if you're going to BUY a truck just for a test, why not PAY LESS for a truck you are very positive you can outshine (opposed to paying full sticker for a brand new one), and that are more common out in the field already. It's a brilliant sales pitch: if you can beat the most common trucks around and the bracket most likely to be looking for something new soon, perhaps you can get them on your team so to say.

Just my 2 cents...

Thats not a very even comperison If they were doing it right they should have used a 6.7 Cummins and a new Duramax. Most people that will see that can't tell the diff. So it makes the ford look good.

6.4 ps was junk. (i dont mean to be bashing) i used to drive a 08 f350 dualy for work. went threw a motor and 3 injectors in 35k miles. in my opinion it couldnt pull for sh*t. we then traded it off on a 09 6.7 cummins dualy. i tell ya that 6.7 is one hell of a power house when it comes to pulling. I LOVED IT!

Well, I have heard that the new PSD is putting out something like 700 + ft.lbs. of torque. If that's so, it should have the pulling power to outdo either of the competition, and I say that as an '09 Duramax owner.
