I heard that too. The way it was explained to me was that its only an issue if you don't have a sliding hitch and try to make a really sharp turn like U-turn sharp. It'll hit your cab and muff it up.

any in the bed trailer, if u turn to sharp, will get into the cab. with a short bed, it just makes it that much faster. its something u have to get used to. but deffinately need one that puts it back a lil bit further away from the cab. its no different than pulling with a short bed pickup

i have a short bed and a 4 door , i pull a 25 ft gooseneck and have never had problems with it, the only way you would ever have a problem is in tight area , just watch your cab closely

I use a b&w hitch. If you have one, the 4" extender would be a good idea for a mega cab. http://www.turnoverball.com/turn_acc...=420&width=740

gpsupra. As in all things you can't believe everything you read or hear... The Mega cab is somewhat of A pain to tow with. It does severely reduce your turning capability with trailers that have wide square fronts... Such as Holiday trailers, And many Horse/Stock trailers. But if your key towing situation is A deck trailer or the like, That has the classic narrow "Goose neck". Then you still get the advantages of the fifth wheel in turning radius for the most part. On most open road driving situations you are fine with the Mega. Just keep A eye on your cab when your in somewhere tight. Cause yeah it doesn't take much to remodel the aero package on the corners..
