Default 500 PPM LSD Diesel Still Sold

my local fuel station still has a sticker for the old diesel. the 500 ppm lsd stuff. the funny thing is the sticker looks pretty new and the pump has been checked in december for accuracy. because of that i would think they would make them get a new sticker unless it is actually lsd diesel. btw this isnt a rural fuel station and this is not off road diesel either. also it says the diesel contains 5-20 percent of biodiesel. nver gelled up on me so im thinking there using 5 percent

That's odd...I can only guess that with the 5% mixture of biodiesel it must bring down the sulphur concentration to ULSD levels. AFAIK EVERYTHING has to be ULSD in N.America now (well Canada and the USA at least)

The green sticker should say that the fuel contains 5-20% bio-diesel blend. In the US all diesel sold is required to be ULSD, even ag use fuel. The only exception to this would be heating oil or the marine use stuff, can't remember the real name for it.

The sticker should say under 500ppm if i remember it right.

Ask them what the deal is.... I'm willing to bet it is just a left over sticker. All fuel made and sold in the U.S. is ULSD now....... The older standard (Higher sulfur content) isn't available any more.

on the way to school this mornin, after stoppin at 2 different stations that were out of fuel, i pulled into a small station and the pump said 500PPM low sulfur diesel. and this sticker looked new too. im gonna stop again tomorrow and ask the guy, but he's a couple cents cheaper so i'll prolly be stoppin there from now on anyway

LSD can still be bought and sold until later this year. BTW there are Flying J truck stops selling LSD for on road use and its legal for them to do so.
