well i have been having trouble with my truck and lately i have been smelling diesel, so i opened the hood and all around my injector pump was wet with diesel. then i started it and looked and it was leaking a steady drip from under the injector pump some where. i could not see the exact spot but to me it looks like a injector line leaking. could this make my truck run bad?......thanks for reading

 

Did you try and tighten the lines??

 

not yet i havent had time i just found the leak about an hour ago, and its to dark to mess with it tonight.

 

Could be coming from a few places, so it's hard to tell exactly where the leak is coming from.

 

i will try to find out tomorrow exactly where the leak is coming from so that i can give more info

i pulled everything apart yesterday and it looks like it is leaking from the number 1 injector line where it goes into the pump, i tryed to tighten it but it is still leaking.

 

Probably needs a new copper washer or whatever seals it.

sorry i have been workin alot...havent had time to get on lately, thanks for the info i will look into it, you can close this thread for now i will update when i get it fixed....or not fixed
