Default I Am An Idiot...........

So the wife and kids call me tonight after they had a hard day of shopping wanting to know what I want to eat for dinner. I have been out working in the yard for 5 hours in the 99 degree heat sweating my **** off. So I say just bring home some pizza. Well they did only it was the Digorno pizza not the ready to eat. Any who, I start the oven while taking a shower.

I get the pizza out of the oven and start to slice it. At the very second I start the door bell goes off and startles me. Well a couple of pepperonis and alot of the sauce end up on my pointer and middle finger. It is hot as chit, so what do I do? Stick my fingers in my mouth to get the hot stuff offmy fingers.

As I sit here now I have quarter size blister wrapped around my pointer finger, a dime size blister on my middle finger, a blister on my tongue and peeling skin on the entire pallet of my mouth.

So I am going to try to eat this pizza now that it is cooled down, but so far I have drank 3 cold beers trying to get the skin off my tongue and pallet to no avail. If I cannot get to enjoy a little of this pizza it is going in the trash, un eaten by all.

My wife and daughters are out at the track running and they damn well better not ask me for a piece of this pizza when they get back. After all if they would have purchased a ready to eat pizza I would be all good. Of course if my nephew would have just walked in the door rather than ringing the door bell, or if I would have kept my fingers out of my mouth.

If I were not an idiot, all would be good. Moral of this story if it is too hot for your fingers it is too hot for your mouth...........................

avoid salty things at all costs...on that same thought...acidic tomatoe sauce will not agree with your wounds...trash it...really...who the F!@* gets frozen pizza and expect you to fix it...I'll admit it...I'm lazy...I want ready to eat...would have been much easier and much less painful. By the time they got it home from Dominos/pizza hut/papa johns/etc. It would have been cool enough that it wouldn't have burnt you.

you know it's a bad day when a man can't even sit down and attempt to enjoy frozen pizza.

You are lucky man a few weeks ago i went up to help work on some stuff at a base up north. It was 120 degrees in the shade and i was working outside. A wrecnch in those conditions will get alot hotter than you think. I didnt have any gloves with me and wouldnt hav thought about using them if I did. I must have picked that damn wrench up 10 times before I learned my lesson. Luckily they had pizza ready for me at the chow hall

if it makes you feel any better i just about burnt my whole friggin hand.

i stuck my hands in the hot tank on the boat. it heats up salt water from the engine coolants. but due to a leaky heat exchanger. the tank has been getting a bit hotter then usual. i wear cloth gloves also. so i was in a mad panic to get the glove off. then i dunked my hands in with the lobsters. to cool them off.
the whole time. Craig the only other guy i work with. was to busy laughing at me to help.
