Default Heater Issue

Going to be $600ish to replace the $50 part. I'd do it myself, but I don't have the equipment and tools to do it. Sucks *** you have to tear the entire dash apart.

I set it to blow air on the floor, and it goes right to the windshield. Don't get any heat on that setting.

All electric. And I'm not even sure I can get to it if they have to remove the entire dash to replace the housing.

Ripping apart dashes is fun!!!

Typically the "Blend Door" is the one that directs air either through or around the heater core, the ones that determine which vents the air comes out are usually called "Mode Doors".

If it's electric, try to hotwire it first...

So what am I looking at here then?? Blend door or something that doesn't require the removal of the entire dash??

There is a blend door fix on eBay for like $25. Just do a search. I have seen guys pull the entire box to replace the parts and some claim they can fix it without pulling the HVAC box...IDK.....TDR had a write up in the last issue or so on how to do the blend door fix with updated Dodge parts.
