Default Rims for the non punk

I'm thinking about changing out the rims on my Dodge. I have never been much of a fan for aftermarket rims, but I think I want to finally jump in. I'm looking for suggestions on rims that aren't the typical ricer diesel style that every punk around here has. I like chrome, but a little black wouldn't be bad, don't want them to stand out much just something a little nicer than stock. Have to be at least as strong as the stockers.

Any suggestions? I've looked online a little bit, but there are 1000's of different rims. I didn't realize there were so many out there since every kid in town seems to have the same wheels

There are other ways to spend the $1000.

Bad thing about aftermarket rims is if one craps out, they may not make it anymore, and your left going to another style.

moto metals or kmcs are good choices. they are typical diesel riceboy rims but they are strong. Everyone runs 20s, go smaller and they will look different.

I should add that I don't like the blocky looking ones, which seem to be the popular choice right now. I want to keep the stock size for sure because of roads I go down with lots of big rocks.

Any other brands to look at?

16x10 or 16x8 Black steel wheels...form follows function...bend one and you can straighten it with a hammer and a pair of vise-grips...

Not worried about the money side of it too much. Also the Dodge is two years old and I've only put 12,000 miles on it, so I doubt I would break one in the next year or two. Normally I would be looking to replace the truck but can't bring myself to even think about it with that low of miles, it will probably be around for at least another 12,000 probably 20,000.

Wanting to make the truck look a little classier, not like a ranch truck. I have the Fodge with steel wheels for beating on.

I like chrome and I'm not afraid to admit it. The Dodge is a very nice truck and has tasteful shiny additions (my opinion) like the bumper, bed rails, toolbox, I even put the door handle covers on so they match the factory chrome molding. It makes the wheels look plain to me for some reason.

Go with some Mickey Thompson Classic II's or something if you want to avoid the ricer wheels. Personally I dont blame you

I have ION wheels on my truck, they look just like the mickey thompson classic ll's, but the center is powdercoated black with machined lip. Jegs carries them if you want to see a picture. Good luck
