I was wondering if there is a chip or programmer available for this motor/bus to unleash some more power. The techs at the truck shop said they can hook up to the computer and get rid of the 65 mph speed limit but had to check to see what kind of tuning is available. Waiting to hear from him yet so i figured id ask you guys. Any ideas or tips and tricks would be helpfull!!!

sure if its a powerstroke

 

It doesnt have the regular plug in underneath the dash like you would in a f-350. Thats why im asking.

 

well then it probally not a powerstroke then. its most likely a dt444, i don't know if they have any tuners for it.

 

More than likely, gonna have to have the truck shop tune the ECM. Not sure about cost though.

 

It's a 3800 international, the engine is a t444e. Is there any reason why they couldn't turn it up by getting into the ecm?

 

it will have the same style of computer as the powerstroke... i dont think anybody has tuning out for the IH version of the motor... but i have never really looked into it...
