I have the same truck and I went with the Southbend Con OFE. Its a single disk good for up to 450 hp and 1,000 ft-lbs torque. I use my truck for commuting and also for towing/hauling heavy loads. As I understand it, you don't need a dual disk unless you want to pull sleds and they cost substantially more. In my experience the Southbend Con OFE is a nice balance for daily driving and reasonable towing use. I've been really happy with it so far.

That said, I would do your power upgrades first so that you are property choosing a clutch to match the power your truck is making. If you're not happy with the power output, or decide that you simply need additional power for whatever reason, you might have to upgrade to a better clutch. At the same time, you don't want a clutch designed for 800 hp if you are satisfied with something less than what the clutch was designed for.

I put a Hasiley Street Puller in mine, I love the thing. I drive the truck daily and also tow. Oh the street puller is a dual disk, with no springs on the hub, so it chatters.

When I got my SB, there were really no other options. It sounds like people are pretty happy with Valair too. I think you'll be happy with either one. My SB is very streetable. I've been driving it with the SB for so long I can't remember anything else. Most of my driving is daily commuting and I do a fair bit of towing too. Never a problem.

The OFE is perfect for the guy that tows and has mild upgrades. If you are going to be close to the 450hp limit on the clutch, just do the upgrade to a ductile dual disc. Both will be very streetable and smooth to engage. Both should feel lighter on the pedal as well.

If you are one to slip the clutch alot backing trailers, get the dual disc. We had a customer smoke an OFE within 2 weeks because his 2wd wouldn't gear down enough with his horse trailer. Put a dual disc in it and its been every bit of 8-9 months. Still going strong.
