A TS style chip is what I would go with. Be it Tony Wildman, Swamps, DI, or one of the other good tuners out there, thats your best option for a 7.3. Programers suck on these trucks.

definitely go with one of the 6 position chips (TS, Tony Wildman, DP, anything like that) like Joe said stay away from programmers such as superchips, or edge, or diablo they wont give you the same performance levels. and its a simple install but it installs in the PCM itself not in the OBD II port.

ok but they arent capable of a custom tune correct? also does a 6.0 use the same chip or is it different all together. someone told me that the edge programmers worked for both 6.0 and 7.3. just curious.

All TS blank chips can be tuned by who ever you send them to to what ever you want... If your interested in doing your own tuning then you need to look here...

Power Hungry Performance - About Us

or

Power Hungry Performance - PHP Tuning Software

You do not want a edge, superchip or otherwise programer on a 7.3, they just plain suck. Takes 10-15 minutes to change programs, the programs are weak and not specific to your mods or needs...
