Default Buying 07 Sierra

I am 95% sure I am buying 07 Sierra with the LBZ and am wondering what upgrades work best with this engine and any problems that may be common with the truck: electrical, computer, tranny, etc. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Cool deal, let's hear some details about the truck. Tell us what you want/expect from the truck and I'm sure someone can help point you in the right direction as far as what mods to do. I have the hot juice on mine and I like it, but depending on what you're after you might want something better.

the lbz has the benefit of factory upgrades to correct the problems found in the earlier models lb7 and lly. you will also get the 6sp tranny for lower cruising rpm's. good mods to make the truck better are the exhaust (get rid of the kitty), tuner, pvc reroute will help keep the trucks intake system clean. factory intake will support up to 500hp with no problem so no need there. but if you swap, be careful with the k&n style filters that require oil to be added because the oil does wierd stuff to the maf sensor.

the Allison will only take bout 100hp over stock so unless your ready to put $3000+ into your allison i wouldnt tune it too hard yet, a Transgo Jr. kit from suncoast will help it hold about 100hp or a little more, but not much for very long or reliably
