Default Chip Suggestions

My buddy has recently purchased a 2001 2500 Dmax its stock except for a 4 in straight pipe into a 5 in tip. It has 106,000 miles. I was wonderin what would be the best chip to purchase doesn't want to fry the tranny but give it a little giddy up at the same time. Any suggestions?

you can get a predator, hypertech, edge, banks, or ppe.

just try not to go over 70hp on the power level

quadzilla is also a good choice. the safe power level for unmodded tranny is any additional power less than 100hp.

PPE makes alot of Duramax specific tuners. I have the PPE Ecomemy tuner, still rated at around 120 horse max under ideal conditions, but the allison 1000, 2000, and 2400 series transmissions arent rated for much over 450 horse

I would go with the Predator but not go over the 2nd level. Otherwise he is going to limp the tranny.
