Default general dodge question

Im looking at buying another diesel for myself, hosehold 6 got the first one, '07 6.0. I like the looks of the 1st gen dodges, so I'm in the process of researching the. What can anybody tell me about them, please be specific. Also if say a specific component sucks, what would be a good replacement.

honestly have you ever rode in a first gen? if not then go ahead and get one but if u have rode in a 2nd or 3rd gen youll be unhappy with the ride. i mean they are tough trucks but jus ride like a hay wagon. thats my opinion take it for what its worth.

I love my first gen!!! It does ride harder than the 2nd and 3rd gen but I love the way those old trucks look! The only thing i really know to tell you is that if you get an automatic and you are lookin to make serious HP you need to look into getin a beefed up tranny! (but thats with any dodge with an auotmatic )
