I'm looking at a 93 freghtliner fld120 that has a Cummins N14 in it. But it does not have jakes or cruise which led me to believe the injection pump might be a manual pump. I have not seen the truck in person yet so I can not look yet. But I'm going to look at it in a couple days.

I don't believed that any used injection pumps; I do believe that they did use mechanical unit injectors and PT pumps before going to the CELECT system. See if there's a box on the left-hand side that says "CELECT" or "CELECT+".

it is more than likely a ntc 855 if it is a mechanical injection my international dump truck is a old one and it is technically a 855 cummins but it has a jake with the pt cummins fuel pump. like begle said look for celect or celect+ also look at the valve covers if they are red tops then it is a celect or celect +

the jakes are an extra housing that mount on top of the rocker boxes and can be added fairly easily

Basically the o old 855 or NTC were the mechanical motors, now the N-14's are the pretty much the same block, heads and everything except the addition of electronic injector units and electronic controlled injection, they are still 855 cu in. Now on the 93 you are looking at it could be an N-14 and still not have a jake or cruise, just all depends how it was speced, or it could still be an NTC series, but if you know for sure it is an N-14 then it just could be speced that way, but i will almost guarantee you it has cruise just not the switch's on the dash as that is all controlled electronically, but the jakes are a mechanical option.

some of the early N14's we're mechanical. I used to have one. Pretty rare but definitely out there. I think the one I had was in a 92 Pete.

Truck ended up being a n14 celect. Did not have jakes though but did have cruise control. But she was pretty ruff and not worth what he was asking for it.

I drove a 91 t-800 that had an N-14 with jakes and cruise, all electronic. That was the first year they came out I beleive.
