House paint on my truck
When I bought my truck in June the previuos owner had spilled household type paint in the bed and there is some spots on the tailgate. It was ok before but is bothering me now. I am unsure if it is latex or oil based and I don't know the best way to get rid of it without screwin up the trucks finish, any tips, tricks or products to use to get the paint off would be appreciated.
spilled out of the can, some drizzle marks on the bed behind the tailgatebut instead of cleaning it when it happened he drove away and the wind threw spackles on the tailgate. Powerwashing don't touch it, was going to try goof off but afraid of screwin up the clear coat.
I don't know much about getting paint off but I had a scuff mark on my paint where some @$$hole hit my truck with their side mirror parking and I was able to get it out with wax and a microfiber towel. I don't know if it will work on housepaint but it didn't ruin my clearcoat at all.
clay bars take off overspray very well. If you want to try it get some good clay and some spray detailer. geneoursly spray the area with the spray way and glide the clay bar over it dont apply pressure and if you feel resistance re lubricate the surface.
