Default Need idea on guages...

So I've always wanted to use a guage pod instead of having guages all over. I just don't know what to use, and they are expensive. I currently have no chip or programmer installed on my truck right now but will, not sure which one, in the future. Something like an attitude monitor or a pulse montior is what I had in mind, I just don't have the extra $ to buy the chip to go with it. With that said, what would be the best thing for me to use? Keep in mind, I don't know what chip I want yet and I would like to have something that monitors fuel pressure as well so I don't have to have a fuel pressure guage seprately.

Cant tell you what box to buy but I can tell you that you need the seperate mechanical fuel pressure guage. The electric ones arent reliable.

You can install a mecanical FP guage for around $50

the attitude monitor has gauges in it which is nice so that way your getting both for the money, but also do what Dr evil said and put a mechanical gauge in for fuel. I have the attitude and the a pillar full of gauges boost egt and coming in is the fuel

Does a mechanical fuel pressure guage run fuel inside the truck?

you can if you want to...there are isolators but some claim they dont work well. I would just run the fuel to the guage and make sure the fittings are good and tight and you should be fine....

Ive been running fuel into the cab for 5+ years - I have never had one problem and havent lost a drop of fuel. Its really a non issue - diesel isnt very flammable compared to other fuels.

Isolaters can be troublesome and inaccurate as well - but Id rather have an isolator than an electric guage.

So who sells the best value fuel guage. I want it to be on the less expensive side but I don't want a POS.

I'm not worried about it being flammable I would just worry about a mess.

Depends on if you want it lighted or not - you can really use any kind of pressure guage.

The one for automotive applications are lighted which hekps if you do a lot of night driving.

I like Isspro EV series myself.

Cool I'll look into fuel guages then. Now as far as a the pod type guages I was talking about...If I did go with the attitude monitor can I use it for just a monitor without the chip? And would it be just a monitor without the chip or is it a programmer monitor? I'm confused.

I guess it wouldn't be called a pod type guage, i mean the box type guages with multiple readouts.

Ideally I'd like something like the "Bully Dog Triple Dog GT Gauge Tuner". I came accross that browsing. I don't think they have it for my truck. Are there any other products like this that would work on my truck?
