Default Will the TQ gains from Programers be lower for the new Emmisions Trucks?

Just read the article about the Bully Dog PTM for the new 6.4 Powerstroke in the August Issue of Diesel Power and it neted the an extra 104 HP and 100 FT-LB... Hold up... Less TQ then HP gained from a box?!?!?!? How is this? Just found it very odd... Does this mean the end of CRAZY Tq numbers from our trucks?!?!?!?!

I think it will have alot to do with how much fuel they can inject down in the low RPMs (where torque is made). With out the ability to smoke, they have to be mindful of the amount of fuel injected or they could foul the DPF.

Look at the bright side - 104/100, right?

On a gasser you are lucky to get a tune for 20/20!

Very true! I have been looking at other tuners for all the new emmision motors and the gains seem to be right at the old ratio of about 2 ft lbs for every 1 hp... Wonder why the bully dog didn't stand up to that...
